REVIEW – Many of us still use physical keys and the best way to keep your keys organized is on a key ring. Today I’m going to show you the Orbitkey Quick Release Key Ring. Let’s check it out!

What is it?

The Orbitkey Quick Release Key Ring is actually Orbitkey’s second version of their keyring which has been designed to hold traditional keys.

Design and features

Available in 4 colors which include rose gold, yellow gold, black, and silver, the Orbitkey Quick Release Key Ring is made of stainless steel and is sized to comfortably hold 10 normal sized keys (1.28″ / 32.5mm diameter ring size).

To open the key ring, you need to turn the locking tab so that the lock symbol is pointing down.

Then you just pull up to unlock it.

The lock will then slide around the ring to reveal a slot that you can use to attach your keys.

To secure the lock, you move the lock over the slot, turn it so the symbol is pointing down, and pull up. The short video below demonstrates opening and closing the lock.

What I like

  • Easy to open and close
  • Available in multiple colors

What I’d change

  • It would be great to get 2 at the same price

Final thoughts

Version 2 of the Orbitkey Quick Release Key Ring is a simple but elegant design. I like the simplicity and ease of use. This keyring is a lot easier than using an old-school split ring. Of course, those old split-style keyrings are a dime a dozen. The Orbitkey Quick Release Key Ring is a much nicer version that comes with a price that some might say is not worth it. But you might think it’s completely worth it the next time you have to remove a key from a split ring keyring and end up splitting your fingernail in the process.
